3.0 Supply Chain Analysis Methods
Supply chain visibility is defined in CIPS (2023d) as “having a clear and comprehensive view of the overall supply chain, inclusive of organisations, businesses and processes included in production, transportation and delivering products and services”. The importance of the process is to improve and strengthen entire supply chain to guarantee data available at ease hence ensuring stakeholders optimum satisfaction. Considering HWE, owing to their positioning in UK NHS sector, it is characterised with a significantly high visibility. The importance of the process is organisation views in entire supply chain as extending from personalised services provision and making sure they involve the best service partnerships.
To conduct supply chain analysis process, HWE follows different strategies as illustrated in the following;

Descriptive analysis
This type of analysis of the supply chain is used in identifying the current occurrences in real-time based approach (Hallikas et al., 2021). In HWE organisation case, this include analysing the level of investments in inventories, clients services levels and replacements levels with entire lead times prioritised. The importance of embrace of these statistics include tracking entire practices specifically in identifying changes over time.
