Blockchain provides a secure and immutable ledger of transactions ensuring data integrity, reducing fraud, and improving compliance with regulatory standards (Smith, 2023). The Internet Of Things (IoT) is being integrated into the supply chain to provide real-time monitoring and data collection. IoT devices and sensors track the condition and location of goods, monitor equipment performance, and provide maintenance alerts thereby improving operational efficiency, reducing downtime, and ensuring the timely delivery of materials.

 Strategic Supplier Relationships and Collaboration

ADNOC is also strengthening its supply chain by enhancing strategic supplier relationships and enhancing collaboration through the implementation of supplier collaboration platforms that allow for real-time information sharing, joint problem-solving, and innovation. Through the development of closer relationships with key suppliers, ADNOC can drive innovation improve service levels, and respond more swiftly to market changes (Smith, 2023). From the findings and conclusions in this assignment, the identified limitations can be managed by using the following recommendations;
  • Transitioning from only one sourcing approach for all their spend categories and select each for all their spends
  • Ensure policies in PS&M are appropriately implemented while prioritising on their different stakeholders interest areas
  • Embrace of technologies in their sourcing process for sake of achieving modernised suppliers appraisal and eventual selection
  • Improve RCU Ariba and SAP system intended for improving exchange of data and information for supporting their sourcing approaches embrace

  • The global supply chain success is impacted by external events. This creates inefficiencies in the supply chain. These could be managed by putting in place appropriate systems for increasing value for money outcomes in times of uncertainties.
  • Engagement of colleagues and other internal stakeholders for promoting organisation commitment to achievement of effective supply chain management is unclear. It is hence important to consistently improve the scope of engagement for improving consistency in value for money outcomes, fair-based practice and innovation embrace
