|
Starting point | Your initial ability (rate yourself on a scale from 0-10 where 0 is no knowledge/skill and 10 is complete knowledge/skill)
Initial ability rating:7
Justification for this rating: Based on my experience working as a people practice professional, over time, I have learnt on how to professional integrity and transparency in workplace in regard to ethical practice, professional courage and influence (Deeg & May 2021). Additionally, being my best practice, this is by ensuring there is no discrimination whatsoever or lack of inclusion of all stakeholders in active decision making in such an organisation. Additionally, working as a leader, in 2023, there was instances where there was a campaign spearheaded by gender-based activities with an intention of promoting the percentage of women inclusion in the labour market. From the outcome which I received, the best option was to take the women to training, coaching and mentoring sessions in order to appreciate the best practice in diversity and inclusion. Besides, considering my in-depth knowledge, understanding and insights in diversity and inclusion of employees, I directly shared this knowledge to the various groups we were engaged with.
|
Development objectives | To improve my competence within this area I will:
a) Promote the scope of knowledge I possess on integrity improvement b) To develop strategies intended to improve my decision making for managing various issues which are compromising to personal and professional integrity c) To acquire relevant insights on how to adopt possessed knowledge and skills to promote positive change
An example: Build my knowledge within the area of business ethics, with specific focus on how HRM professionals contribute to the development of cultures with high standards of ethics.
