In interacting with my colleagues in my organisation, I receive positive feedback in regard to my ability to engage all being critical in my practice, ensuring all considerations are balanced and a fair-based practice. I am in a position of understanding each individual characteristic, interacting and sharing ideas. The skills used in supporting my strategy in inclusivity include ability to listen, communicate and questioning skills. In implementation of group discussions, I share invitations to all people in sharing opinions, idea sharing and timely feedback offered. In my active practice working in my organisation, the Head of people practice is engaged in C-Suite for discussing main areas which impact individuals and organisations. The function of HR business partnering is working collaboratively with leadership and management for providing insights which are essential for improving sustainability (CIPD, 2023).

In this second assignment in Advanced Practitioner Award, a business report which evaluate global commercial strategy has been developed. This evaluation focuses on Hertfordshire and West Essex (H&WE) NHS organisation. The rationale of this evaluation is informed by the fact that an organisation strategy guides an organisation success in achieving a competitive advantage and dominating their market of operations. The areas of focus in this report include relationship of strategy and corporate, business and functional structures, methods used to analyse supply chain, managing resources for supporting development and implementation of strategy and how costs and finance could impact on supply chain. Through the application of different CIPS Models and techniques (Mendelow Matrix, PESTLE Generic Analysis tool, and risks register), various findings were obtained. These include support of existence of a direct correlation of strategy, corporate, functional structures and business practice. In analysis of supply chain, predictive and descriptive approaches which are quantitative and qualitative identified as relevant for the evaluation. Also, by ensuring all relevant stakeholders are engaged in the process, successful costs management and supply chain analysis identified. Hence, these findings indicate that by Hertfordshire and West Essex (H&WE) NHS operating a global corporate strategy, they would lower their costs overruns, profits acquired and dominate their industry. These findings are aligned with the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) influencing contract management process and supply chain.
Finally, from the findings and conclusions in this report, various limitations have been identified which can be managed through the following recommendations;
- Hertfordshire and West Essex (H&WE) NHS need to prioritise on investing on technologies for improving analysis of the relationships and corporate strategy achievement
- In supply chain analysis, open book pricing also characterised with flexibility influencing scope of collaboration and suppliers partnering hence an improved practice
- Engage Procurement and Supply Chain Management (PS&M) successfully since they are engaged to predict and satisfy customers’ needs
- Consistently updating their supply chain networks informed by different risks

(Solution) CIPS Assessment 3 PSE Sourcing Essentials
- In summary, sourcing approaches has been evaluated in this assessment. This is through the focus of ADNOC organisation spend category.
- The selected spend category is IT for their advancement of remote and flexible working post-COVID-19 pandemic. Also, by comparing this with other different spend categories, the sourcing approaches evaluated included sole, multiple, single and dual sourcing.
- Through the application of different CIPS tools and techniques Kraljic analysis, Stakeholders analysis, SWOT and PESTLE analysis, a successful evaluation has been put into active process. This is with the best practice in ADNOC being identified and prioritised.
- Further, for the successful sourcing of ADNOC IT system, a successful suppliers appraisal process has been pursued.
- This has been done through the application of Cater’s 10C’s Model. As part of this analysis, the best supplier has been noted and involved.
(Solution) CIPS PSE RCU Cohort (Practitioner) Module 4 – Sourcing Essentials in Procurement & Supply
This assignment focus is evaluating various sourcing approaches used in Procurement and Supply Chain Management (PS&M).
To achieve this aim, Royal Commission of Al-Ula (RCU) is used as the organisation of interest.
By focusing on different categories of spend including technology systems, various sourcing approaches have been evaluated. The sourcing approaches in line with CIPS Module Notes include single, sole, multiple, and dual sourcing.
The findings of this assignment have been informed by various tools and models used in analysis including Kraljic matrix, Mendelow matrix, business hierarchy of needs and SWOT analysis among others.
The findings indicate multiple sourcing appropriate to involve many suppliers, single sourcing only one supplier with dual sourcing two suppliers only often evidencing conflicting expectations.
At the end of this assignment, a supplier appraisal checklist has been provided using the Carter’s 10Cs model in the technology system sourcing category.
From the findings and conclusions in this assignment, the identified limitations can be managed by using the following recommendations;
- Transitioning from only one sourcing approach for all their spend categories and select each for all their spends
- Ensure policies in PS&M are appropriately implemented while prioritising on their different stakeholders interest areas
- Embrace of technologies in their sourcing process for sake of achieving modernised suppliers appraisal and eventual selection
- Improve RCU Ariba and SAP system intended for improving exchange of data and information for supporting their sourcing approaches embrace
