Justification for this rating: In my position as a people practice professionals, I have managed to go through different hurdles which are evidenced by my capacity to use evidence-based critical thinking based on different analytics. Through an evaluation of external and internal contexts of the organisation, I have managed to influence different situations in my organisation which has impacted the overall performance and productivity hence coming up with the different business topics. I have managed to note that the critical thinking process is relevant when data analytics are appropriately employed with current business topics reviewed together cumulatively. In my current organisation placement, before the pandemic came, evidence-based critical thinking was implemented. A set of sources to review and benchmark best practice noted.

| Achieving your development objectives: Opportunities and obstacles | The rationale of use of evidence-based critical thinking is guided by application of data analytics and different topics hence positive outcomes for my practice as people practice professional. To acquire the evidence-based critical thinking, I make sure that I am well placed to develop a framework implemented in the critical thinking. I acquire entire insights to monitor and review critical thinking practice in an evidence-based decision making for employees and organisation.
As a best practice, the opportunities which I would leverage on to achieve these objectives would include; · Initiate a reading plan for acquiring increased knowledge on evidence-based critical thinking in my area of working in a period of 8 months · Attending to online sessions in communication, conflicts management and interpersonalised skills emphasising on data analytics and topics in business for a period of 5 months · Initiating learning and knowledge in developing appropriate systems and processes for diversity and inclusion in my current organisation successfully
The success of achieving these objectives would be evaluated through; · Assessing my capacity to be welcoming for discussions and active learning · Enabling engagement process in active discussions and effective implementation of dialogues and meaningful participation · Identifying the capacity of challenging norms, biasness and stereotyping
For the potential obstacles, they include; a) Existence of issues with unconscious biasness leading to discrimination, languages and unwelcoming environment in place b) Zero commitment to critical thinking stagnating and ignorance evident

- In summary, this assessment, has focused on evaluating the process of leading a project team for implementing a new category management.
- For achieving this, British American Tobacco (BAT) in Malaysia has been used as an organisation of interest.
- The selected category of spend is technology and particularly the procurement of high speed machines for meeting the market demand. The rationale of this is that as an international organisation, BAT organisation engages both local and international suppliers in sourcing of technology.
- Considering this high demand, there has been challenges which sustainability of their sourcing approach. Therefore, BAT has been prompted to invest in a system which is modernised for ensuring modernisation of the procurement and supply process in BAT.
- For the Procurement and Supply Management (PS&M) tasked with the responsibility of procuring the technology system tend to take part in learning and development strategies, improving the suppliers relations, increasing alternation of the suppliers relations, high-level inclusion of stakeholders and to transform technology.
