Justification for this rating: When I was starting my career, I was average in this ability rating. This was since I lacked a holistic capability of ensuring that I harness planning in continuing professional development inclusive of planned learning and reflection as a people practice professional. The issues were noted to span in areas of mentality, emotionally, physically and spiritually facets. As a people practice professional, I feel that I am in an appropriate positioning of embracing appropriate CPD in different areas of people practice in my organisation. I feel that I am able to establish a more successful work environment and teams despite of their diversity. Additionally, through taking ownership to remedying the mistakes in CPD, I make sure that there is a harmonious coexistence of the different stakeholders in current organisation placement successfully. The findings are found to be in alignment with the personal goals aligned with the organisation strategies and objectives successfully. |
Development objectives | To improve my competence within this area I will:
a) In my position, I intend to successfully identify the relevant metrics for recognising the employees hard work, progress and achievement as a best practice of building trust of management and employees as part of CPD implementation b) Appropriately positioned to promote an open and trust-based relationship in my organisation amongst the employers and employees to lead to organisation success in CPD as important in mental, emotional, physical and spiritual domains c) My intensions are for ensuring I promote overall knowledge in areas of dispute resolution specifically for the issues which are affecting my organisation operations in area of interrelationship of the different stakeholders working in my organisation as such learning improvement |
Achieving your development objectives: Opportunities and obstacles | Working as a people practice professionally, my success is dependent on application of appropriate structured training initiatives with specified learning outcomes. This is at the same time integrating different practices and encouraging progress, self-directed learning and reflective strategy.
As a best practice, the opportunities which I would leverage on to achieve these objectives would include; 1) My intention are to work on benchmarking and learnt from different peer reviewed journals and other sources on the best practice of improving the workplace learning and development opportunities within a period of 2 months 2) My interests are ensuring that I establish a holistic awareness to all the organisation teams on the best practice of learning and development initiatives implementation of people management and wellbeing policies within 3 months’ timeline 3) I am interested in gaining insights on best practice of initiating an open-based and trust anchored continuous learning and development initiative in my entire organisation starting with the HR department for a period of 2 months The success of achieving these objectives would be evaluated through; · Ability to enhance two-way feedback communication approach existing in my organisation to identify important areas for learning as people practice professionals · Achieving the major KPIs which are inclusive being in place in my organisation on the best continuous development plan · Pursue self-assessment- this can be done through the application of a questionnaire filled to note on abilities For the potential obstacles, they include; · It would be challenging to accommodate people with protected characteristics which is often under-looked in the wellbeing evaluation of workplace. · There would be a challenge to make particularly when there is a need of embracing the best practice of the organisations in continuous development plan. · Achieving the objectives is a major challenge since there are diversities of the employees. This would be a major threat to my practice of learning as people practice professional

- The purpose of this project is to evaluate supply chain automation by leveraging Industry 4.0 technologies. The identified technologies include Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) noted as critical for streamlining operations and obtaining value-for-money outcomes. This has been pursued by focusing on Wood Plc.
- To conclude, the generated findings of this report evidence WPC is today adopting the application of iSourcing in their procurement and supply management (PS&M).
- In the current project, through an evaluation of options for automation of the organization PS&M, the findings evidence the existence of different limitations hindering the success of their system. The issues of cost overruns, lack of collaboration, and inefficient supply chain as the organization is expanding its current operations have been noted to include limitations of their current sourcing.
- Success in the automation of their supply chain has been identified to lead to the following outcomes;
- Organisation achievement owing to automation of their supply chain, increased confidence and capability, talent management, and employee competency
- Improved stakeholders relations (a later section of stakeholders analysis) easing the change process. Through the iSourcing improvement, WPC would be in a position of harnessing technical and commercial evaluation processes.
- Increased and robust systems and policies which mitigate overall gaps in sourcing system transformation
- Today, only lower than 10% of the entire WPC resources are used to prioritize automation and IT integration successfully. Automation would improve the use of resources in their operations
- Involve their IT and finance departments to ensure within a period of 6 months they
- WPC needs to consider embracing sustainable practices as part of investing in their Industry 4.0 technologies
- Through the adoption of automation, better communication systems backed by AI and ML would be introduced to achieve 70% increased communication effectiveness.
- It is important to increase this through increasing collaboration and alignment of all their interests holistically
- Partnering with institutions for the provision of capacity development opportunities for the PS&M teams and other organizations for the success of the automation process
- Expanding their sourcing of Industry 4.0 technologies. This is to involve highly reputable global companies hence efficient operations and integration of AI
- Source of support from the government to ensure that they are facilitated in terms of policies and appropriate regulations to guide the automation process.
